It’s a new Spacetourer but with added MPV – and SUV. And all-wheel drive. And attitude. It commemorates Citroen’s collaboration with Hyphen Hyphen who are a ‘French pop group’.
This concept is based on the eight-seater Spacetourer which will be on sale in the UK this autumn. The standard vehicle will come in three wheelbase configurations, and is built on the same platform as used by the Peugeot Traveller and the Toyota Proace.
The engine, Citroen’s BlueHDi 150 S&S, is claimed to be extremely low on emissions and is the same as found in Citroen’s C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso.
For this Hyphen concept though, they’ve raised the ride height, fitted more butch bodywork and run it on 19in matt black alloys. An all-wheel drive system backs up those off-road looks, so you should have the advantages of an SUV linked to the advantages of an MPV.
The cabin is finished in three colours for the Nappa leather, with each seat featuring a unique combination. Orange figures outside and in.
The Hyphen is unlikely to make it to production, but it will be shown at Geneva next month. The standard Spacetourer will appear around September with prices starting around the £24,000 mark, going up to £31,000.
