These are the most hashtagged dog breeds on Instagram
Everyone loves a cute pup pic. Type in #dogsofinstagram and over 122 million snaps of pups pop up on the 'gram.
Curious as to which type of pooch is the fairest – or most 'grammable – of them all, MyVoucherCodes trawled through the photo sharing app to find out which dog breeds were the most hashtagged.
The French bulldog, recently voted the most popular dog breed in London, reigned supreme in the Instagram stakes, with over 39 million posts captioned either #frenchie, #frenchiesofinstagram or #frenchbulldog.
The mighty Pug was the second most popular breed. With more than 29 million hashtagged posts, people just can't get enough of those adorable wrinkly faces.
Third most 'grammable was the Chihuahua, with nearly 28 million hashtags.
Using this methodology, the 10 most Instagrammable dog breeds came out as follows:
- French Bulldog – 39.2 million posts
- Pug – 29.3 million posts
- Chihuahua – 27.6 million posts
- English Bulldog – 24.6 million posts
- Labrador Retriever – 19.1 million posts
- Golden Retriever – 18.6 million posts
- Siberian Husky – 17.8 million posts
- Dachshund – 17.1 million posts
- Pomeranian – 15.5 million posts
- Yorkshire Terrier – 14.8 million posts
