Take a stroll around London and you’ll undoubtedly see that the man bun has fast become one of the biggest hair trends for men in the capital.

Not to be confused with the topknot, undercut or a lazy bun, the man bun is when hair is pulled back from the forehead and tied up in the centre of your head.

Having taken over our Tube trains and restaurants, the man bun is now dominating our search terms - or so a new beauty report from Google on their top trending terms of the year would have us believe.

The man bun is so popular, in fact, that there have been countless YouTube tutorials made to explain to men everywhere how to execute the look.

Google revealed that the two biggest searches on the subject were ‘how to grow a man bun’ and ‘how to tie a man bun’.

Serious stuff.

But it’s not just man buns that guys were logging on to search for this year. Google has revealed that men’s hair searches were 6 per cent higher than women’s in 2015 – the first time this has ever happened.
