Do it like Cara Delevingne - and her sisters

She’s the hard-partying, stilts-legged, gurning phenomenon with cobalt-blue blood and a slot on the international partying circuit. But this week there were chatters that the exuberant Cara D might be settling down. A “source” close to Michelle Rodriguez — Cara D’s actress girlfriend — told the press that Michelle is besotted with Cara and believes she is The One. The source also reveals that Michelle would love to start a family with Cara.

So much has been made of the Delevingne sisters’ thoroughbred stock that even in such modern times, they might feel a sense of expectation to make dull, sensible matches of their own to carry the dynasty into the 21st century. Indeed, it looks like this is the year they will be getting hitched. But their matches certainly aren’t boring.

Cara has always mixed Sapphic relationships with “wifey” Rita and “boo” Ri-Ri with alleged dalliances with maudlin lyricist Jake Bugg and pop-fluff Harry Styles. Her relationship with Michelle — her most public — has seen them canoodling in New York, rocketing out of hotels in Paris, paintballing in the English countryside and leaving pop-up Prince gigs barefoot. For all the rock ’n’ roll, she seems smitten. The Delevingne family have met Rodriguez and apparently the two are considering buying an apartment together.

Perhaps Cara is inspired by big sister Poppy, whose nuptials to beau James Cook — whom she met in Ibiza eight years ago — are finally approaching. Earlier this week, Poppy Instagrammed a pretty pic of herself in a pair of monogrammed pyjamas, captioned “Soon to be #PDC #weddingcountdown”. PDC presumably refers to the married name she’ll be adopting: Poppy Delevingne Cook.

Then there was her star-studded December hen-do — Cara, Harry Styles, Grimmers, Alexa, Sienna, Georgia May and Jaime Winstone attended — highly documented both in the press and on her own Instagram account, where she christened the antics with a bespoke hashtag, #PopDogHen. The night started at The Ivy and the dress code was a haphazard mixture of “James Blondes” and tees by cult brand Black Score with the hen girl’s face on. It carried on at the Groucho and the Edition Hotel, with the #PopDogHen crew cavorting in their undies and drinking Peroni.

And this month, big sister Chloe married second husband, property developer Edward Grant, in Mayfair. Full disclosure: he was the best man at her first wedding to nightclub entrepreneur Louis Buckworth and lived with the newlyweds after they married. The first marriage lasted only 17 months; however, this time it looks like Chloe is nesting for the long-term — she’s now six months pregnant.
