The LA bars, restaurants and hotels where the A-list hang out

Anyone for a plant-based brunch?

Want to know where Pharrell stops out for dinner or Natalie Portman gets her fix of vegan Mexican food when she's in town?

We've rounded up the best places to go for anyone who wants to eat and drink out like a movie star (dark glasses and baseball cap, optional.)

Hotel-wise there's the London West Hollywood, known for its enormous suite-style rooms and bulldog puppy mascots, Winston and Churchill. The Ace Hotel and its rooftop have played host to Matt Damon and Katy Perry, while its theater is often used for movie premieres.

For the cool, modernist rooms and breakfast in the rooftop greenhouse, book in at boutique hotel The Line LA, where Gigi Hadid has hosted a party.

Or, of course, there's the classics if you want to go old school, including the Hollywood Roosevelt, Hotel Bel-Air, and the Beverly Hills Hotel, with its famous palm-print wallpaper.

If your budget won't stretch to a stay, there's plenty of hotel bars you can stop into for a drink. The Hollywood Roosevelt has the legendary Teddy’s Bar, Hotel Bel-Air has Wolfgang Puck Bar & Lounge, and The Beverly Hills Hotel has the iconic Polo Lounge, where Leonardo Dicaprio, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift have all hung out.

And of course, a trip to LA wouldn’t be complete without a plant-based dinner booking.

The mini-chain Fig & Olive has a location on Melrose Place with an eclectic fan base, including Pharrell Williams, Keith Urban, and Halle Berry. Gracias Madre in West Hollywood isn’t quite as healthy, but it is vegan (with plenty of cashew cream on the side). Selena Gomez enjoyed a ladies night there, while Natalie Portman, Russell Brand, Mariah Carey, and Amy Adams have all stopped in for dinner.

It certainly helps that the old-school, paparazzi heavy restaurant Craig’s is nearby... and that Gracias Madre is famous for its cannabis oil infused cocktails.
