Private member’s club Annabel’s has unveiled new bathrooms designed by acclaimed interior designer, Martin Brudnizki.

Located on the third floor of the exclusive Mayfair hangout, the brand new immersive toilets, dubbed 'Loos in the Mews', are inspired by some of the world’s great rainforests and jungles.

Exactly four million pieces of mosaic glass tiles adorn the floors, walls and pretty ceilings of the men’s and women’s bathrooms, all featuring bespoke panels decorated in all things animal print and florals.

A major new highlight for the gents comes courtesy of a 500kg crocodile basin, carefully crafted from a single slab of green onyx.

An estuarine lagoon theme rules the pomp aesthetic in the ladies and has every Instagram gimmick in sight, from walls gilded with parrots and cheetahs to hand-carved Bergania flower-shaped super pink onyx basins.

Bespoke Murano mirrors made by Italian craftsmen, an antique 1940s Venetian style mirror and several chairs, 20th century Italian acrylic and a grand brass console also fill the space.

Unlike other parts of the club, the brand new loos will be the only space where members and their guests can take a photograph.

One of the bathroom's first visitors to take advantage of this rule was Victoria Beckham, who shared shots of it on her Instagram account.

Brudnizki, whose design portfolio includes the likes of Soho House and The Royal Academy of Arts, was responsible the Grade-1 listed club’s multi-million pound restoration which was completed in 2018.

Some of the club’s most well-known spaces, including the floral-adorned Ladies' Powder Room (which has been tagged 20,000 times on Instagram) and the pink marble bar of the rose room, were designed by Brudnizki.

Speaking to the Standard Brudnizki said, “building on the club’s themes of flora and fauna, the new bathrooms offer members a similar sense of escapism to the rest of the club.”

“Created entirely in mosaic and spread across the floor, walls and ceiling of the mews, the jungle and animal motifs add to the playful spirit of Annabel’s,” he continued.

Along with its highly anticipated Halloween party coming up, rumored to be inspired by the world of Game of Thrones, the club is also set to open its doors to new Italian restaurant Matteo’s later this month.
