Acne Studios cropped trousers, £280
Dan Rookwood16 April 2015

Cropped trousers for guys: thumbs up or down?

It depends just how cropped. Showing ankle: yes, carry on, this is still a thing. Tailored trousers and slim-fitting cuffed trackpants should ideally finish just above the ankle bone. (Acne Studios does a nice line in both: trousers, £280, acnestudios.com) Showing calf: no. We’re veering dangerously towards three-quarter-length trousers here, which is a style that should be banished to fashion’s Room 101 alongside bootcut jeans, ironic bow ties, slogan T-shirts, pointy shoes and James May.
