As Brexit contagion causes chaos around the world, nothing will be more devastated this summer than wedding conversation.

The joyful days of recounting stories of the happy couple is due to be replaced by endless conversation about Bozza and Nige and our messy divorce ahead.

So, to avoid hosting your own Wedding “brex-fast”, the wedding planning team at Bridebook.co.uk have invented “Brexit bingo” to keep your wedding guests conversation flowing, not boring. So, please share the rules below with your guests, and enjoy the best day of your life!

Welcome to Wedding “Brexit Bingo”

Though June 23 was described as our country’s “Independence Day”, today is our big day, so democracy is out and we write the rules.

Welcome to ‘Wedding Brexit Bingo’. Beware the ushers will be eavesdropping constantly and keeping score. Any mention of the following phrases will result in the following penalties.

Penalties:

‘Brexit’ - 1 point

'Second Referendum’- 2 points

‘European commission’ - 5 points

‘Australian-style points system' - 10 points

‘£350 million a week’ - 20 points

‘Article 50’ - definitely 50 points

Forfeits:

0 points - Guest recorded as true lifelong friend - we love you

Up to 3 points - Must sing a solo during the Signing of the Registers

Up to 5 points - Minimum 5 minutes dancing with Great-Auntie Edna

The Happy Couple
