What’s the buzz? Tucked away in Soho, this small, modern salon was shortlisted for British Hairdresser of the year in 2013. There’s a firm accent on creativity and keeping things fresh and on-trend courtesy of the education centre that’s on-site. As Patrizia, my stylist, told me: “It’s easy to get stuck, especially if you’re an established hairdresser - the centre helps us to keep up with the trends.” If you’re in the area and you’re up for a crazy new style, you could even volunteer to be one of their models.
That said, traditional hairstyling is here too if you want it, and that’s what I plumped for - a nice, glossy straight blow-dry as per usual. After having my hair washed with organic Kevin Murphy shampoo and conditioner, Patrizia set to work whilst demonstrating a real understanding of my hair. She identified where it was at its dryest and suggested the correct products for my hair type, plus methods for applying them. I was pleased with the result - my hair looked healthy and sexy and it lasted until the next night - not bad for a weekend spent rushing around town on hot tubes.
