10 Products with Party Power

The next six weeks will require nifty quick fixes for anyone juggling days at their desk, work events and parties. Keep these 10 essentials by your side and you'll sail through the season.

1. The eye TRANSFORMER
The key to an all-round eye product is multiple textures. The Bobbi Brown Bare to Bold Palette (£37; bobbibrown.co.uk from December 1) has matte cement and champagne shades for daytime, shimmering green and grey for night — and a black shadow that doubles as a liquid liner when you wet the brush first.

2. THE EYE PERKER
Staring at a computer screen can leave eyes dry and tired-looking. Before you re-do make-up, apply eyeSlices Professional gel pads (£14.99; thepromakeupshop.com) for five minutes. They smooth lines, reduce puffiness and combat irritation for up to 10 uses — no fridge necessary.

3. THE EASY TWEEZER
Never underestimate the power of
a groomed brow. A quick tweeze
at either end and below the brow instantly lifts the eye area and
makes the whole face look tidier. The LA-Tweez Professional Illuminating Tweezer (£15; victoriahealth.com) comes with an LED light in a lipstick-like case.

4. THE LASTING LIP COLOUR
Max Factor's Lipfinity Lip Tint (£6.99; boots.com) comes in a felt tip-like pen and can be worn beneath Egyptian Magic (see number 8) during the day and patted onto cheeks as an instant brightener. Use it to line and sculpt a standout, matte lip look for evening.

5. THE NO-TIME NAIL VARNISH
Andrea Fulerton's Peel Off Polish (£4.99; superdrug.com) can be whipped off in seconds before you reapply.

6. THE BEAUTY DRINK
Keep a bottle of Functionalab's Health Drops Detox (£29; harveynichols.com) on your desk. Take a few drops in water each day to up your antioxidant quota and detox.

7. THE MAKE-UP REVIVER
Centrally heated offices tend to cause both dry and oily skin patches. Smooth Rouge Bunny Rouge Metamorphoses Mattifying Primer (£44; zuneta.com) over the entire face before reapplying make-up. It contains a dual oil-absorber and moisturiser to balance day-old skin.

8. THE DOES-EVERYTHING BALM
Professional make-up artists always carry a pot of Egyptian Magic (£32.99; revital.co.uk) in their kits. Use it on dry skin, rub into cuticles, pat on lips and even smooth onto straying hair and brows.

9. THE POWER POWDER
Guerlain's Or Impérial (£48; guerlain.com) comes in a beautiful perfume bottle and diffuser to mist your face, body and hair with illuminating powder. With its violet fragrance, it's a perfume and skin saviour in one.

10. THE HAIR HERO
Forget tongs or straighteners —
shake Kevin Murphy's Powder Puff volumiser (£15.45; lookfantastic.com) onto unwashed or limp roots. It morphs into a paste to add root lift and gives hair scrunchable texture for you to pull off the artfully tousled look.
