Tiffany’s most iconic shop, The Landmark on New York’s 5th Avenue (yes, that of Breakfast at Tiffany’s acclaim) swung its newly renovated doors back open with a party on Thursday night. Diamonds and divas appeared to be the memo.

Most daringly dressed on the evening were Anya-Taylor Joy, who wore a scarlet feathered, sculptural gown by London based Turkish designer Dilara Findikoglu, and Gal Gadot (a.k.a Wonder Woman) who experimented with silhouette in a boxy Loewe dress.

As a to be expected following the news Florence Pugh is to be the new face of Valentino, the Don’t Worry Darling actress wore a pale lime green frock from the house, designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, which consisted of a body suit and billowing, sheer train. Also flying the flag for the Italian brand was Nicola Peltz Beckham, who was sleek in all black and Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi looking charming as ever in a sky blue shirt with a ribbon collar left undone, as he was pictured buddying up to Elvis director Baz Luhrmann.

Ramping up the star power for the cocktail evening was Blake Lively, who attended with her mother Elaine, and opted for a smart brown leather shirt dress by Brandon Maxwell. Also there was Pharrell, who looked relaxed in a colourful cardigan as he playfully bowed down to designer Marc Jacobs, and Mark Wahlberg who committed to Tiffany blue in a bright sweatshirt and matching trainers. Alexandre Arnault, the 25-year-old CEO of Tiffany & Co., also stayed on theme, taking the new Tiffany x Nike collaboration trainers - a much desired shoe within the sneaker society - for a spin.

It was, to put things plainly, a star fest: Katy Perry performed with the help of the showgirl Rockettes high kicking and confetti cannons blasting, Zoë Kravitz and Tracee Ellis Ross were spotted taking a pew on robin egg blue velvet chairs, and Dylan Sprouse was inseparable from his girlfriend since 2018 Barbara Palvin, who looked ravashing in a green silk Fendi slip.

A huge buffet was laid on by chef Daniel Boulud, who was also in attendance, which centred around an outlandish ice sculpture of the Tiffany bird, mega lobsters and seemingly unlimited oysters. The energy was all-out eighties, as anticipation rises for the Met Gala this Monday.
