Model Stella Tennant and former Vogue editor Isabella Cawdor have their sights on reinventing landed gentry brand Holland and Holland.

The fashionable duo, who unveil their first collection with the Chanel-owned brand today, have set out plans to looking to modernise the hunting outfitter stylish consumer - albeit a well-heeled one - with a collection which includes single-breasted jackets, multi-pocket vests along with plus fours.

Inspired by their lauded Scottish country lifestyles – Tennant is the granddaughter of a Mitford sister while Cawdor’s husband is the7th Earl Cawdor – the duo set out to bring a taste of contemporary fashion to upper class rural pursuits.

“Everything should have a function” says Tennant, who is long time ambassador for the house of Chanel and has been a friend of her new partner since the two worked together during Cawdor’s time at Vogue.

For the high fashion country classes, the reinvention of the country brand means Hawick tweed woven into beautifully fitting jackets and sturdy walking boots which come with fold back tongues to prevent laces being caught in the heather.

Tennant, who joined Cawdor at the Holland and Holland store on Bruton Street this morning to unveil their new venture, also takes centre in a new campaign.
