Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has starred in two of Hollywood's biggest franchises - but insists she would not call herself an actress.

Instead the model says she was simply "in the right place at the right time" - and, in terms of her career, is most proud of her lingerie range for Marks and Spencer.

Huntington-Whiteley, 28, began modelling at the age of 16, with a commercial for Levi Jeans. She went on to appear in Teen Vogue and make her catwalk debut alongside Naomi Campbell.

She later modelled for Abercrombie and Fitch, Victoria's Secret and Burberry before Hollywood came calling.

Her first big acting break was as Carly Spencer in the 2011 film Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, the third movie in the hit Transformers series.

This year she was seen on screen as The Splendid Angharad in post-apocalyptic action movie Mad Max: Fury Road, which also starred fellow British star Tom Hardy.

But Huntington-Whiteley, who was born in Devon, told Harper's Bazaar magazine she was relaxed about whether she would make more films.

She said: "Will I do another movie? I don't know. It's not something I'm actively pursuing or have a lot of head space for at this time. Which was always my attitude with Transformers and Mad Max, you know."

"I never set out to be an actress. I was in the right place at the right time. I was asked to do an audition and then doors opened."

"I think you're really lucky to get asked to do something new and to be paid to do it, so I jumped at both opportunities. But I definitely would not call myself an actress."

Huntington-Whiteley, who is dating Jason Statham, also spoke about being ambitious - a quality she credits to her mother, a fitness instructor.

She said: "I'm lucky… because my mum raised me to be strong and to have ambition and drive and to reach for the stars, so to speak, to never put limitations on what could be achieved in life. I think ambition is a great quality in a woman."

She added: "I feel really excited about where we are as women. I'm somebody who wants to have all the same rights as a man. If that's what makes a feminist then so be it."

Despite her on-screen success, Huntington-Whiteley said the "proudest accomplishment" of her career was her Marks and Spencer Rosie For Autograph fragrance and lingerie collection, because of the creativity behind it.
