Meghan Markle continued her duties on the royal tour of Africa, as she arrived at the University of Johannesburg on Tuesday wearing a nude belted trench dress and matching nude heels.

She kept her hair loose and wavy and her makeup natural for the occasion.

Meghan’s double-breasted, camel-toned dress (which is also available in white) is from American brand, Banana Republic, which was founded in 1978 in California. It retails for £95 and is still available to buy.

This isn’t the first time Meghan has opted to wear the brand, having modelled a pair of its Madison Ankle-Strap pumps on the royal tour in Tonga in October 2018, causing them to sell out almost instantly.

It's also not the first time Meghan's worn a belted trench dress, in fact the style is emerging as one of the Duchess's favourite silhouettes. She wore a blush pink belted trench by Canadian label Nonie to visit the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition at Queen Elizabeth Hall back in July 2018, and a cream tuxedo dress by British designer, Grace Wales Bonner for her first official photocall in May 2019 after giving birth to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. She also opted to wear similar silhouettes over the course of the the royal tour of New Zealand in October 2018.

During her visit to the University of Johannesburg today, the wife of Prince Harry attended a round-table discussion with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, of which she is a patron.

This comes after Meghan made several private appearances over the weekend; she hosted a private breakfast on Saturday for female leaders in Cape Town wearing a monochrome J.Crew midi skirt and yesterday privately visited the Victoria Yards institute, which brings together local artisans, charities and start-ups and is supported by The British Council.

Later today Meghan is set to visit a local school and learn about the work of a local charity, which receives UK Aid funding for its work to raise awareness of sexual violence in schools.

The couple will then reunite in Johannesburg and continue joint engagements for the rest of the tour.
