London Fashion Week has well and truly crash landed; walk past the Old Selfridges Hotel, or any number of secluded streets in deepest Mayfair, and expect snaking lines of boldly-dressed individuals, queuing up for glimpses of what they might be wearing in spring summer 2024.

And with the shows come A-list celebrities - and the opening shows this year have proved this season is set to be a vintage year for star spotting.

Things began early with Harris Reed’s off-schedule show at the Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall on Wednesday evening. There to support him was Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran, singer Self Esteem and activist Munroe Bergdorf. Perhaps most exciting, though, was Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams who is a keen fashion follower and a regular spot so far this season.

Proceedings kicked off in almighty style on Saturday morning, where a few weary-faced guests (parties including ES Magazine’s bash and Kylie Minogue’s LFW album performance made for an eventful Friday night) made their way to Camden’s Roundhouse for JW Anderson’s collection.

He is known for enticing a fantastic front row; this year that included actors Cole Sprouse, Jenna Coleman, Heartstopper’s Yasmin Finney and Euphoria’s Chloe Cherry and singers Charli XCX, Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma and Renee Downer of FLO, and Griff. There were a fair share of It-girls, too; Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevingne included. The best moment, though, was Ncuti Gatwa - the new Doctor Who - who attendees thought was opening the show, before he sat down on his seat. Just late, in the end.
