Kim Sears style file: we chart the fashion history of Andy Murray's wife and number one supporter

Courtside style won't be the same without Murray's Mrs

As Andy Murray announces his impending retirement, we take a look back at the court side impact of his wife, Kim Sears.

One of the most loyal supporters of the two-time Wimbledon champion, she rarely misses one of her husband's matches. And while that enviably means she is subject to hours on end of tennis-watching, it also provides the style-conscious among us with a lot of courtside fashion fodder over which to pore.

Since meeting Murray in 2005 when they were both just 17 - Sears was travelling with her father, Nigel, who was head of the Women's Tennis Association at the time - Kim's aesthetic has transitioned, much like the Duchess of Cambridge's, from relaxed and preppy t-shirts to light and feminine dresses.

Splitting her time between her professional career as a painter and the tournament sidelines, Sears has been known to sit front row at the Burberry shows during London Fashion Week, which no doubt contributes to her keen sartorial eye.

With delicate summer dresses and statement prints being a staple in the side court stars wardrobe in recent years, there is no denying that Centre Court will greatly miss her style highlights.
