Kendall Jenner's Oscars dress: The model’s thigh-high split gown is the boldest look of the red carpet

Remember Angelina Jolie's infamous thigh-split at the 2012 Oscars? It was a look which launched a thousand memes. Well, it turns out, it was nothing compared to Kendall Jenner's look at this year's Vanity Fair after party.

Working the red carpet in a barely-there gown by Lebanese-American couture designer Rami Kadi, the model took thigh-high split dresses to the next level.

While the Oscars is synonymous with old-school Hollywood glamour, the Vanity Fair after party is where, typically, the A-list ditch their finery for more risque red carpet looks.

Kendall did just that, hitting the soiree with Caitlyn Jenner in a halter-neck gown that skimmed her hips leaving her legs on full display.

The designer, Rami Kadi, previously posted about the dress on Instagram, explaining it had been constructed with lurex velvet, while the delicate fringing was made entirely of intricate beading and crystals.

Given the OTT status of her ensemble, Kendall wisely kept all other styling to a minimum, with a bouncy blow-dry, chunky black earrings and a single ring on her little finger completing her 2019 Oscars look.

Kendall's plus one, Caitlyn, kept things decidedly more low-key in a glittering champagne caped mini dress and cream slingbacks.

Of course, it's not the first time Kendall has made headlines with her flesh-flashing red carpet choices. At the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscars after party, the reality tv star looked sensational in a super-short voluminous LBD by cool girl brand Redemption.

A year prior, at the Met Gala in 2017, Kendall chose a slashed, beaded La Perla gown for her turn on the red carpet.

Keep doing what you do, Kendall.
