Since the Duchess of Cambridge was catapulted into public consciousness a decade ago, her stylish ensembles have rarely failed to disappoint her loyal legion of fans.

And as the future Queen celebrates her 38th birthday today, it seems as though her style prowess shows no signs of slowing.

But it's not just luxury fashion houses which the Duchess leans towards: the mother-of-three is also a fan of the high-street.

Some of her favoured brands are Topshop, Reiss and her beloved L.K. Bennett (she's a particular fan of their heels.)

In fact, such is the Duchess's influence on sales that she was largely credited with the surge in sales Reiss experienced in the early 2010's.

The Duchess opted to wear the brand's Nanette dress for her official engagement photo in 2010, but it was the nude Shola dress which she wore to meet the Obama's in 2011 which caused a real ruckus: the dress sold out within hours and caused Reiss' website to crash in fans' frenzy.

And when compared the Duchess of Sussex, the Duchess of Cambridge's sartorial choices even work out cheaper too.

In a tally between similar events the two attended, the Duchess of Cambridge's wardrobe costed approximately £3,548 while Meghan's arrived at around £14,417.

The Duchess of Cambridge has, over the years, also shown an affiliation to high-street giant Zara.

She most recently opted to wear an £18 headband from the brand at the Festival of Remembrance in November, channelling one of this season's biggest trends, the maximalist hair accessory.

Similarly, the Duchess also has a penchant for skinny jeans, which she favours from either Spanish brand Zara or American J. Brand (also a favourite brand of the Duchess of Sussex.)

During her three pregnancies, the Duchess has never let her style waver, and has maintained her chic looks throughout.

On her last official appearance before she went on maternity leave and gave birth to Princess Charlotte in March 2015, the Duchess wore a £35 ASOS Maternity dress which, you guessed it, sold out within hours.

From Whistles to Reiss, Zara to Topshop, ASOS to Hobbs - this is one seriously demure Duchess, no matter the designer.

To celebrate her 38th birthday, we chose 38 of the Duchess's best looks from the high-street from over the last 10 years - scroll through the gallery above to see them.
