TUESDAY

Fashion scents

The average catwalk show lasts about nine-and-a-half minutes — blink and you’ll miss it. But Meadham Kirchhoff have got a few tricks up their sleeve to make the memories last. Aside from having one of the most infamously spectacular showcases on the London Fashion Week schedule, the design duo have also employed the services of London perfumer Penhaligon to fragrance their catwalk. Offering an insight into their collection, entitled A Cautionary Tale, ahead of its unveiling this afternoon, Cornubia, right, is described as a glamorous, rich oriental musk with swathes of cherry-sweet vanilla. (£58, penhaligons.com)

WEDNESDAY

If the shoe fits

With the world's fashion elite on our doorstep for a week, one thing is inevitable - shoe envy. If you've been distracted by all the tottering stilettos stomping along the Embankment, hotfoot it down to Harrods where you'll find the shiny new Manolo Blahnik boutique open for business. This contrasting block heel court shoe is new for the brand and we already sense a classic (£500, harrods.com)

THURSDAY

When’s-a your Domenico day?

The fashion pack has migrated. Coming to roost instead on the front rows at Milan, they await a feast of Italian delights from the likes of Gucci, Marni and Versace. This divine Miss Sicily lace tote bag, right, from Milan Fashion Week dreamboats Dolce & Gabbana, was an instant hit on the AW12 catwalks. Not only is it a lesson in ladylike — but molto sexy — chic, it was also named in homage to Domenico Dolce’s birthplace. Bella! (£1,285, net-a-porter.com)

FRIDAY

Citizen Kane

The Milanese have reshuffled their Fashion Week schedule, which means Versace’s sister label Versus will now unveil its collection tonight. Cue cheers of joy from those who usually depart the city on Saturday — ie, us. Designed by our very own Christopher Kane, left, Versus is rapidly becoming one of the hottest shows in the Italian part of the fashion month, particularly with those who favour the Scot’s innovative approach to cut and texture. All hail Christopher, the king of Friday night.
