Last summer Céline Dion became a style icon.

Gallivanting around Paris Haute Couture Week, posing like a pro for the street style paps, one show-stopping look at a time. and blogging about her antics for American Vogue with hashtag #CélineTakesCouture, the legendary singer became as famous for her forward fashion as for her voice.

Over the last twelve months, the singer has become an unexpected street style sensation, and if you thought she couldn't top her sassy snakeskin ensemble, or extra wide white hat, think again.

The 50-year-old has recently outdone herself in the style stakes, swapping her designer dresses and wide-leg trousers for sleek tailored suits.

Céline's Instagram is currently the ultimate power suit inspiration, so if you're in need of a little guidance, here are four ways to don a two-piece the Dion way.

1. Navigate neon

Thanks to Prada, Louis Vuitton and Yeezy neon hues are making a very bright comeback. And, it seems Céline's heart continues to go on for the '80s trend.

Two weeks ago the singer donned an eye-catching yellow Maison Rabih Kayrouz suit which quickly went viral and, just like that, the look was elevated to 'iconic' status.

If you want to be ahead of the trend, don't be afraid to make a serious style statement in a suit that is brighter than the sun.

2. Go for glitter

Céline knows that you can't go wrong by adding a splash of sparkle, especially when on-stage.

Possibly taking note from Mr Harry Styles, the singer recently kicked off her tour in Sydney wearing a glittering gold suit by Schiaparelli.

The sartorial statement proving that the corporate ensemble isn't just for the office, but for party time, too.

3. Experiment with different materials

Another way to elevate your suit to Céline-worthy levels is by mixing different luxe materials.

Last month the style icon served up an aspirational travel ensemble, wearing a hot pink suit with a satin finish by Sies Marjan.

Keeping things tonal (another good Céline tip) she finished off the look with a pair of fluffy baby pink Manolo Blahniks, the contrasting materials helping to add a bit of extra oomph.

4. Perfect clashing prints

Proving that she really is Queen of the Suit, this week Céline served up a lesson in how to wear prints like a pro.

Although clashing prints can often be overwhelming, an easy way to work the bold look is by wearing a sleek suit silhouette. See Celine's Dolce & Gabbana number above.

Lose the jacket for the day and then go full-on wow factor for the evening.

See, when it comes to suiting, Céline is unstoppable.
