At last, a party!

And just like that, we were back.

On Monday 19 July the worlds of politics, media, hospitality and the arts convened at Jasminder Singh and his family’s glossy, glitzy new Londoner Hotel, in Leicester Square, for something they’d not had in 18 months — an old-fashioned party.

Albeit with new twists, thanks to jabs, lateral flows and superpowered air-con.

Among those enjoying the plush surroundings were actresses Anna Friel, recently back from her second home in Mallorca, and Miriam-Teak Lee, there with number one fan, her mum.

Creative director Alex Eagle and photographer Misan Harriman were also in attendance, as were author and broadcaster Candice Brathwaite and actor Omari Douglas.
