Former footballer David Beckham tried his hand at the small screen on Wednesday night, joining the cast of ABC’s Modern Family.
Beckham was understandably excited about his guest-starring role in the television series’ 11th and final season, and he shared plenty of behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram.
“So much fun filming on one of my favourite shows,” Beckham posted, sharing a clip from the episode, which also included Friends alum Courteney Cox.
Beckham, who played himself on the show, took a ribbing from Cox for his bowling skills (or lack thereof) as the duo prepared for a celebrity bowling charity event in the episode.
Though David was the only Beckham to appear on the show, the rest of the family joined him on set - and Victoria even got an on-screen shout out from Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Mitchell Pritchett, who declared in a preview clip, “When does Posh get here?”
The former Spice Girl posted her own announcement about Beckham’s new gig, sharing a photo of the whole family posing onset (with David repping the show in a Modern Family t-shirt).
The sitcom, which debuted in 2009, will air its final episode on April 8 of this year - meaning we can still hold out hope for a cameo from Victoria as well.
