Between the Twitter jokes and Internet pranks, Ryan Reynolds tends to keep the details of his family life with actor Blake Lively and their children under wraps.

But this morning the Deadpool star seemingly revealed the gender of their third child who was born this summer.

Reynolds shared a picture on Twitter of himself, Lively and a first glimpse of their newborn - whose face had been blurred out with a pink smiley face. The trio embraced in a wooded area, which appears to be the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in Vancouver based on Reynolds’ #Capilano hashtag.

The Canadian actor tweeted, “I love B.C. I want my daughters to experience the same natural playground I grew up in.”

Reynolds and Lively have three children, with an eldest daughter James Reynolds, middle child Inez Reynolds and their unnamed newborn, who is now believed to be a girl based on his tweet.

Beyond sharing the picture, Reynolds also used the tweet to raise awareness about the upcoming Canadian elections which will see residents vote on October 21. Asking people to consider each candidate's position on climate change, he continued, “On Oct. 21, the candidate you vote for will SHAPE CLIMATE POLICY. I’m proud of the climate progress made the last 4 years.”

He also shared a link to the official website for the Canadian election.

Reynolds and Lively have previously talked about parenthood, with Reynolds making jokes about its challenges. Speaking to Good Morning America, Reynolds said, “I would rather drink a piping hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children. At two years old they just have to rip all their clothes off and introduce themselves to everyone on the plane, it’s just like, ‘Please can we land in a farmer’s field?'”

A few years ago he was filmed attempting to build an IKEA Crib on camera in which he translated the Swedish product’s name as “Swedish for f**k you” before duct taping the entire thing together. Despite his wisecracks, he also revealed to Fatherly that being a father was “a healing process” for the star after having a difficult relationship with his own family growing up.

He explained why he and Lively refrained from sharing their family life publicly, telling the outlet, “We live as normal a life as we can live. Our kids aren’t a part of Instagram or social media. I talk about them, but I never post photos of them and neither has Blake. It’s not something we would want to be a part of.”

“Being in public is a choice that people should be allowed to make when they’re of age. I would never want them to resent me for that,” he continued. “I want them to have as normal a childhood as possible.”

He also said, “[Fatherhood has] made me super present in a way I wasn’t before. I try to hold on to each moment with them. It’s drawn me to the present moment as opposed to the future and past. You see how fast it goes.”
