Matthew McConaughey playing virtual bingo with retirement home residents is the sweetest thing you'll see today

What a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man

Matthew McConaughey has given senior residents in quarantine at a care home in Texas a morale boost with a game of virtual bingo.

Residents of The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living had previously invited McConaughey to join them for a game of Bingo, with one senior resident joking the 50-year-old actor would "be a lot cooler" if he did.

But with the US on lockdown, McConaughey finally had the chance to answer the call - virtually.

He was joined for the online bingo game by his wife Camila Alves and the couple's children, who were seen crowding into the frame helping him shout out the numbers.

"During a time when we are all working to make lemonade out of lemons, we are so humbled that Matthew took the time to play our favorite game with us" a Facebook post by the care home following the bingo game read, "As Matthew would say, let's turn this red light into a green light!"

McConaughey is believed to be isolating at his home in Austin, Texas. The state has been on lockdown since March 19.
