Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres loves pranking her celebrity guests. She also has the disarming ability to make A-listers open up, especially about their relationships.

Her most recent prank accomplished both when it led to a major love interest admission from popstar Halsey.

While she was chatting with the talk show host, Halsey's shock prompted her to spill on her new love interest.

While appearing on the show, where she also performed her new single 'Graveyard', Halsey talked about her love of Halloween.

This year, she dressed up as Marilyn Manson while her new beau, Evan Peters, dressed as a member of Insane Clown Posse. For another party the pair dressed up as Sonny and Cher.

While discussing their couples costume, DeGeneres had someone jump out at Halsey from the wooden table between the two, which she wasn't ready for.

"You distracted me with the boyfriend question! I wasn't ready," she said. "I don't know what's scarier, though, having to talk about my boyfriend on TV or having that happen."

Halsey famously tweeted about her love for Peters for years before they actually got together, proving it is possible to manifest your dreams.

She tweeted "Seriously Evan Peters stop making me attracted to alleged sociopaths and accused murderers" in November 2012 and "Petition for Evan Peters to date me," in November 2013. But it didn't end in 2013! Her last post about the actor - before she simply started posting photos with him - was in November 2014 when she wrote, "I’m so in love with Evan Peters I’m so whipped I’m whipped as f*** !"

Before dating Peters, she was seeing rock star Yungblud. While she never spoke about their breakup she did recently tweet about it, denying cheating allegations (though she later deleted the tweet.)

During the interview, she also talked about working with BTS on the 'Boy With Luv' music video. "They're super awesome and they really made me at home like a family," she said, before explaining that she still had trouble mastering their complex dance moves.

"I had to learn all of this crazy choreography before I went to Korea to shoot the video...and half of them were really nice to me about it," she joked saying, "Sorry we can't all be perfect."
