The Grammy Awards on Sunday night celebrated the music world’s brightest stars, with Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Lil Nas X and more winning big at the ceremony.

Amidst the jaw-dropping red carpet and tributes onstage, the world watching at home lit up Twitter with hilarious Grammy memes that took no prisoners - not even the spinach caught in Nick Jonas’ teeth.

The rainbow looks on the red carpet naturally drew some of the funnier tweets, as the stars’ over the top looks were perfect fodder - especially Billy Porter's futuristic hat.

Here’s some of the funniest tweets of the night.

Nick Jonas’ teeth

Grammys viewers were quick to point out Nick Jonas had something stuck in his teeth at the awards show, which seemed to be a piece of spinach or cilantro.

Eventually, Nick chimed in to acknowledge that - yes - he'd seen the tweets about it.

Pose star Billy Porter always comes ready to serve a top look on the red carpet and this year, his glittery hat was the breakout star of the Grammys.

Dressed in a sparkling blue suit, Porter accessorised with a crystal fringed hat which parted like the Red Sea mechanically to reveal his face.

Of course, it quickly became a meme online.

Ariana Grande’s dress

Grande has a habit of wearing huge dresses, but her Giambattista Valli gown took the cake.

Given the singer boycotted the awards show last year (leaving her to stage an impromptu photo shoot in her Zac Posen gown), yesterday night’s outfit more than made up for it - and Twitter loved it.

Grande later changed into another outfit and while dressed in it, she ended up running into Billie Eilish.

Although Grande might have once played Elphaba from Wicked in a Halloween special, she was recast as Glinda in one fan’s imagination.

Offset’s face after Camilla Cabello’s performance

Not everybody’s going to love your music, but Offset couldn’t keep his face in check after Camilla Cabello’s heartfelt performance dedicated to her father (who was at the Grammys with her).

Like a scene out of The Office, he was caught staring deadpan into the camera along with the confused woman behind him.

Lana Del Rey’s mall dress

Singer Lana Del Rey was a glittering queen on the red carpet and during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she revealed she had bought her beautiful dress at the mall.

Twitter loved it, even though many hated the fact that she was totally snubbed at the Grammys for her critically-acclaimed album Norman F*cking Rockwell.

Some fans really took Del Rey's snub to heart, voicing their frustrated the best way the Internet knows how.

Lobby boy Tyler the Creator

Tyler the Creator gave Zero from Grand Budapest Hotel a run for his money, as he appeared in a pastel pink bellboy outfit with a red fez and briefcase.

Others also joked that he looked just like Esteban from Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

He later opened the briefcase on the red carpet, which revealed his second outfit (a striped red and pink polo tee) that he changed into later on.
