While your flight’s getting cancelled, the world’s celebrities are private jetting around, shaking their assets on superyachts, dining at gourmet restaurants under the Eiffel tour and climbing canyons at five star desert retreats. Sickening, isn’t it?

And yet, we can’t help but watch on enviously and pretend we’re looking for travel tips. From historic Roman villas to decadent carriages on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, here’s how the chicest celebs have been living their best life so far this summer.

Marc Jacobs

Capri, Ponza and Rome

The American fashion designer has been living la dolce vita with his hot candle maker husband Char Defrancesco, his brand’s global head of press Michael Ariano and photographer Nick Newbold. Jacobs revealed the friendship vacay on July 22nd with an Instagram photo dump of the scrumptious desserts at Il Riccio, a cliffside restaurant overlooking the famous Blue Grotto in Capri, which had the fashion glitterati drooling over their pastries in the comments.

The group then headed to Ponza island, where Jacobs bumped into Tommy Hilfiger at the port. “Go to Acqua Pazza for great pizza and pasta,” recommended the fellow designer under a selfie of the loved up pair, to which the answer was, “Okay!”. The group also dined at other local spots like Un Mare di Sapori and La Fontelina, with Jacobs sharing snaps of traditional Italian dishes like spaghetti alle vongole and spaghetti aglio e olio. After one last pit stop at La Posta Vecchia, a prestigious seaside villa built in 1640 on the outskirts of Rome, the group finally took their private jet back to New York last weekend. Fear not though, Jacobs is still updating plenty of throwback content from their whimsical trip for you to mindlessly scroll through while sitting at your desk.

USP: (Very well dressed) lads on tour sample Italy’s best gastronomical delights

Kate Moss

Utah

Although the legendary 90s supermodel has long ditched her late night antics, Kate Moss still enjoys floating around party islands like Ibiza and St Tropez. However, this summer the It girl chose a more unexpected location: Utah. Joined by her good mate Rita Ora, together they took a girls trip to Amangiri, a secluded five-star resort in Colorado’s dramatic red-rock desert which has welcomed the likes of Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Hailey Bieber. The $6,000-a-night hotel overlooks 900 acres of canyons, ridges and gorges, which provided the setting for their action-packed schedule, which included the two style icons braving the Cave Peak Stairway. In fact, the ‘Hot Right Now’ singer even uploaded a rare photo of Moss suspended 400ft over the rocky basin. Very chic.

USP: Adrenaline-fuelled wellness retreat worthy of breaking any no-Instagram selfies policy.

Elon Musk

Mykonos

A LONE WOLF / MEGA

What happens when the richest man in the world, a superstar agent and major fashion designer go on holiday? The answer is, unsurprisingly, yet another extravagant yacht excursion.

Elon Musk is taking a break from his Twitter legal battle woes with his good friend Ari Emanuel, the CEO who served as the inspiration for HBO show Entourage, and Sarah Staudinger, founder of Staud. Although he reportedly rented a villa for two weeks, the famously “anti-vacation” Tesla entrepreneur only squeezed in three days at the luxury party spot before rushing back to California. During that time, the trio sank cocktails, sunbathed and swam off the back platform of the $7,000 a day yacht, Zeus. They also took a day trip to Delos, an island near Mykonos which is home to one of the most important archaeology sites in Greece, and were seen having lunch at the Spilia restaurant on Agia Anna beach. Not exactly going native, but still.

USP: An in-and-out hit of local-avoiding luxury with similarly ultra-rich friends

The Biebers

Florence

It’s been a tough time for the Biebers lately. Justin was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a viral infection which has left half of his face paralysed, while Hailey had a mini stroke in April. Their recent Florence getaway following the pop god’s performance at the Lucca Summer Festival, was therefore long overdue. The adorable couple were spotted soaking up the culture at Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, with their PDA opposite Michelangelo’s world-famous David statue going viral on social media.

No trip to the Tuscan capital would be complete without gelato, and the pair visited Gelateria Artigianale with two bodyguards in tow. Understandably, they caused quite a stir, and rushed off down the historic streets to avoid posing for selfies. Never fear though, they managed to finish off their romantic day out with a candlelit dinner at La Giostra restaurant, a clubby spot which was founded by the late Prince Dimitri Kunz d’Asburgo Lorena.

USP: Historic culture as backdrop to PDAs and fan hysteria.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

Paris

Rex Features

Hollywood’s most hyped power couple celebrated finally tying the knot 20 years after the pair called off their first engagement, with an amorous week-long adventure in Paris. Although the wedding was an understated Las Vegas quickie, the honeymoon was anything but. Alongside their respective children, the blended family gawked at Impressionist masterpieces at the Musée d’Orsay, charted the Petrus III, a 71-foot yacht built in 1953, for a cruise down the Seine, and dined at romantic spots like the elegant Jacques Garcia-designed restaurant Le Matignon.

The newlyweds also ditched their kids for impromptu make out sessions on park benches and an indulgent dinner at Girafe under the Eiffel tower, something so romantic that it brought The Last Duel actor to tears. Much like the film did to viewers.

USP: A circuit for snogging pit stops

The Beckhams

Paris, Venice, St Tropez

To usher in their 23rd anniversary, Victoria and David Beckham are busy taking Europe by storm. Starting in their favourite city, Paris, the former footballer shared doting stories of his fashion designer wife holding heart-shaped balloons and dining al fresco on their hotel balcony. They then took the opulent Venice Simplon-Orient Express, where a one-way ticket starts at £8,400 per person for a Grand Suite, for a quick break in Venice with Posh’s parents.

Since then it’s been non-stop holidaying for the pair, who most recently charted the £1.6million-a-week superyacht Madsummer around St Tropez. Complete with 10 suites, its own pool, a screening room and a dance floor, the couple invited a large group of friends – including supermodel Gigi Hadid and Sarah Ferguson, as well as their two kids, Harper and Cruz – to join them for a high seas knees-up. The rowdy bunch have been jet skiing, sunbathing and karaoking. Yes, that’s right, karaoking – in fact, Victoria reprised her 90s girl band era for a drunken rendition of their chart-topping anthem ‘Stop’, which David kindly shared on social for us all to gawp at.

The co-owner of Inter Miami CF also took their daughter Harper to Azur Park where the two got their kicks at the nocturnal funfair. And the parents peeled off from the group to enjoy a lovely-dovey lunch at La Scoglio Da Tommaso restaurant, a celeb hotspot in the seaside village of Marina del Cantone.

USP: Family-friendly debauchery

Megan Thee Stallion

Ibiza

Megan Thee Stallion/Instagram

Head hottie Megan Thee Stallion showed us how it’s done on her recent blow-out in Ibiza. As the originator of the ‘Hot Girl Summer’, the rapper served body-ody-ody in a string bikini aboard a luxury yacht while necking back champagne. The Billboard Women in Music award-winner also graced her fans with a video of herself strutting around her white stone, ocean-view villa in a leopard print bikini with a glass of white wine in hand. Plus, of course, an onslaught of videos from her friendship group twerking on sunloungers, bars and, well, any other flat surface they could find.

USP: Party like the pioneer of the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ should
