Workspace buys £21m properties

THREE London properties have been acquired by Workspace Group for almost £21m from property company Chelsfield, chaired by Elliott Bernerd.
Surrey House in Lavington Street, Southwark, which is let to the Inland Revenue, cost £5m. Workshops, studios and offices in a warehouse at Clerkenwell Workshops have been acquired for £9.1m. In Union Road, Clapham, Workspace has paid £6.5m for a property that is 54% let. The company has used cash raised from the sale of its Midlands property portfolio to finance the purchase.
