William's a hit in Nashville

Daily Mail13 April 2012

His summer holiday dilemma was whether to spend it with Kate or Jecca. Prince William solved it - by spending a week with Anna instead.

He accepted an invitation from American heiress Anna Sloan to visit her family estate in Nashville, Tennessee.

Although keen to travel with his student girlfriend Kate Middleton this summer, the 22-year- old Prince had also been invited to visit Jecca Craig, the beauty from Kenya who was guest of honour at his 21st birthday.

In the end, he opted for the U.S., where he enjoyed a leisurely week in the company of Miss Sloan, whose late father George once rode in the Grand National. A source close to the Sloan family said Anna was a student in Scotland and attended one of William's classes.

'They've known each other a few years because her father used to ride with the Queen. William was here for a leisurely vacation in their beautiful house, which has a lovely pool and a very relaxed atmosphere.

'Theirs is strictly a friendship - there was nothing romantic going on. He was here with a few classmates and came across as a nice, normal guy.'

Anna and her sister inherited the magnificent country house after their father died in a shooting accident in 2001.
