Will Mr Speaker have a paddy over Sally Bercow's next stunt?

Sally Bercow is to share a caravan with Irish traveller Paddy Doherty for a new Channel 5 reality show, it emerged today.

When Paddy Met Sally will see the Commons Speaker's wife, 41, move in with the former bare-knuckle boxer while Doherty's wife Rosemary moves out.

John Bercow was less than pleased when his wife was in Celebrity Big Brother, which was won by fellow contestant Doherty, of Channel 4 show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

Mrs Bercow - who posed wrapped only in a sheet for ES Magazine - told the Daily Mail Online that Doherty, 52, would not be moving into their grace and favour Westminster flat. Doherty said: "I told the people when I signed up that I'm likely to murder her."

A Channel 5 source said filming will start in North Wales next month and the show will air in the new year. A spokesman for Mr Bercow said he "won't be making any comment".
