Wife in £26m divorce to see children again

The Arab businessman who was ordered to pay a record divorce settlement agreed today to bring back the four youngest children he snatched from his wife's London home four years ago.

Abdullah Masry, 56, said his estranged wife Mona Al Khatib, 46, could see the children for the first time since he "imprisoned" them in Saudi Arabia.

His appeal against the £26.3 million settlement was adjourned as a result of this deal so long as Mr Masry can take the children back after visiting Britain.

If this deal breaks down the appeal will continue, but Lord Justice Thorpe said he hoped the case had been resolved.

Two girls aged 16 and 13, who are wards of court, will visit in July and August with two brothers of 19 and 18. The eldest son, 21, will stay at university in the US.
