Versailles case is delayed

THE court case against former executives at collapsed trade finance group Versailles has again been postponed. Former Versailles executive chairman Carl Cushnie and finance director Frederick Clough were due to appear at Bow Street magistrates court on Monday in a second hearing related to the collapse of the group.

The Serious Fraud Office, which was last August granted a five-month postponement, asked for a further deferral to 14 February for administrative reasons.

Cushnie and Clough, and co-defendants John Black and Lorraine Jones, all deny fraud-related charges.
