Unknown Tori, 19, to put pop in Poppy Day in front of the Queen
It would be a daunting task for the most seasoned of performers - singing in front of the Queen and an audience of 8,000 at the Royal Albert Hall.
But this year, an unknown teenager is to take centre stage at the Royal British Legion's Festival of Remembrance.
Tori White, 19, will sing Please Remember, the first pop song to be the official Poppy Appeal Record.
So far the tall, curvy blonde, whose parents run a plumbing firm, is taking it in her stride.

"I am very excited," she said. "I cannot wait."
Tori made a demo CD at 15 and was discovered when her father Nigel showed her photo to music producer Jim Dooley, of 70s band The Dooleys, after they met in a hotel bar.
She explained: "They got chatting. We sent him the CD and he loved it - within weeks Jim had me recording in his studio."
Being chosen by the British Legion for the event on November 10 is "a dream come true".
Tori, from Worcester, said: "I can't really believe it - it has all happened so fast."
The appeal is a cause close to Tori's heart - a friend is a serving soldier in Iraq.
She said: "A few months ago a mate of his was killed, we were all really upset and it really brought home what sacrifices people in the military make for us. They really need our support."
