UK Coal lifts target for Drax supplies

THE UK Coal group expects to supply at least 7.5m tonnes of coal to the Drax power station this year, 1m more than previous estimates, as the plant takes advantage of high gas prices to pump out more electricity. UK Coal on Wednesday posted first-half losses of £800,000, against losses of £12.5m a year earlier.
