Travelling to Heathrow?

12 April 2012

Passengers travelling to Heathrow today are advised to leave the car at home and take public transport to the airport.

Both the high-speed Heathrow Express rail link from Paddington, and London Underground (Piccadilly line), are functioning without delays.

Heathrow is not experiencing any delays as a result of the crash and all flights are taking off as scheduled.

Those worried about imminent flights are advised to ring their individual airlines for advice.

If you are travelling later this evening, check the traffic before you leave - roads are expected to be blocked for most of the day.
