Three hurt after west London shooting

Detectives are hunting a gang of armed men after a woman was shot at a restaurant today.

Officers were called to reports of a group of up to 10 men in Nando's, Uxbridge Road, Shepherd's Bush, west London and found the victim suffering from gun shot wounds.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said she was taken to hospital by an ambulance but her condition was not thought to be life-threatening.

He added: "Police also attended the scene of a road traffic accident farther down Uxbridge Road where a vehicle thought to be involved in the incident crashed into a shop window.

Later a London Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed three people had been injured in the incident, two seriously.She said a helicopter, two ambulances and a duty officer were sent to Uxbridge Road, Shepherd's Bush.

"We conveyed one adult male by air believed to be in a very serious condition," the spokeswoman added.

"An adult female was taken to hospital via land who we understand to be stable and another adult male believed to be very seriously ill."

The Scotland Yard spokesman said officers had closed the road to conduct a forensic search of the area.
