'Three boys seduced by teacher'

A science teacher had sex with two 15-year-old boys and another aged 14 from the school where she worked, a court heard today.

Amy Gehring, 25, a Canadian living in Hampton, west London, is alleged to have seduced one 15-year-old in an alley while walking him home from school.

The court heard she had sex with his 14-year-old brother and seduced another pupil at a New Year's Eve party.

The prosecution alleged that Gehring sent a mobile phone text message to one pupil, saying: "Did we have sex last night? I can't remember."

Gehring, a supply teacher at a school in Surrey, denies five counts of indecent assault.

One boy, giving evidence by video link, said: "She kissed me. We just started snogging. I thought 'what am I doing? I haven't got a clue'."

The boy told detectives that she followed him around at a party and "wouldn't leave me alone". The identity of the pupils and the name of the school cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Stella Reynolds, prosecuting, told Guildford Crown Court: "It is alleged, in a nutshell, that this defendant socialised with these three boys and other girls at the school and that she in essence became too close to them."

Ms Reynolds added: "It is not alleged she raped the boys and forced them to have sex against their consent, but that she had sexual intercourse with them knowing their age, knowing they were under age and knowing they could not legally consent to what she was doing to them."

The court was told that Gehring apologised to one of the boys for what had happened as she knew he had been a virgin.

The alleged offences came to light after playground gossip spread and a mother contacted the police. During police interviews, she denied the allegations and said she could not remember sleeping with anyone at a party as she had been drunk and "the evening had passed in a blur".
