? Brentford FC, founded in 1889 and nicknamed The Bees, won the Third Division Championship in 1999.

? Former Wimbledon FC hardman Vinnie Jones has been in talks over buying the club, on behalf of a group of Hollywood friends.

? Fans have set up a political party, the ABeeC Party, to contest local elections in May and put pressure on Hounslow council to help find a new ground. The club is currently to groundshare with Woking next season.

? In October they made history by staging the first totally free-to-enter league game against Peterborough.

? On a Heathrow flightpath, Griffin Park boasts Britain's largest advertising hoarding on its roof.

? Fans who swear are given yellow cards pointing out the evils of bad language.

? During the club's 1996 FA Cup run fans carried cheese to matches as an answer to the inflatable bananas carried by other supporters.
