The Jonas Brothers camp it up

The Jonas Brothers pop stars have landed in London for the premiere of the latest American cult movie for children, Camp Rock.

The brothers, Kevin, 20, Joe, 19, and Nick, 15, will join co-star Demi Lovato, 16, on the red carpet for tonight's premiere of the new movie from the makers of High School Musical.

With an audience of 1,500 at the Royal Festival Hall, it will be the biggest premiere film-maker Disney has ever staged in London.

Joe Jonas, who plays wayward rock star Shane Gray, said it had always been their dream to act. "We really enjoyed it and we hope people will love it."

Kevin said it was a film for all the family. "It's a story about someone finding out who they truly are and having a blast," he said. Demi, who is making her first visit to London, said she had scarcely had time to look around but she liked the coffee and the food and even the streets were "cool enough for me".

The boys plan to take her shopping. "We'll bring her to Oxford Street and Topshop," Kevin said.

Camp Rock notched up more than 24.5 million viewers in its opening weekend in America - making it Disney's second most successful film after High School Musical 2.

The brothers' third album, A Little Bit Longer, which debuted at number one in America, will be released here on 29 September.
