Stars descend on Chiswick school for world record attempt

12 April 2012

Celebrities will descend on a Chiswick school tomorrow to take part in an extraordinary world-record attempt to help fledgling businesses in Africa.

Television stars Gabby Logan and Niamh Cusack, and football presenters Ray Stubbs and Garth Crooks will join 1,000 volunteers working 48 hours non-stop to place 50 miles of 1p coins across the grounds of the school - the equivalent of driving from London to Oxford.

The MicroLoan Foundation aims to raise around £100,000 which will provide loans to 130,000 African women who want to start businesses.

Volunteers are welcome to join in at Chiswick Community School on Burlington Lane, W4.
