Soft-porn lads' magazines 'need age restriction'

Lads' magazines should be top shelf titles with age restrictions, a report from the Home Office is due to say.

Publications like Zoo and Nuts which offer soft porn should be age-limited to stop the early sexualisation of boys and girls, the report says.

The study says computer games, easily accessible pornography and the use of sexual slogans in advertising also influence children.

Tomorrow's report, by Dr Linda Papadopoulos, a psychologist at London Metropolitan University, was commissioned last year by the then home secretary Jacqui Smith.
