Samantha Cameron mixes high street with designer

Effortlessly glamorous: The different looks of Samantha Cameron
Felix Allen12 April 2012

Samantha Cameron has managed to look effortlessly glamorous during the Tory conference week with a succession of low-key high street styles.

She has stayed true to her love of colour, wearing a blush-pink blouse, right, from Cos, the high street fashion store for the "thinking woman", a large patent waist belt from Jaeger and a pair of £29 Zara shoes.

For the Tuesday night parties, however, she upped the high-fashion stakes with a vibrant green silk Vivienne Westwood Gold Label dress, left, which she bought in the sales for around £250.

As creative director of luxury label Smythson, Mrs Cameron has developed a style of dress that is easy to imitate - apart from the unusual 18 carat honeybee pendant she has worn every day.

It was designed by her mother, Viscountess Astor, who created it in 1971 when she designed jewellery for her Knightsbridge shop, which she later sold to set up her furniture company Oka.
