Sales speed up at Taylor Woodrow

BRITAIN'S housing boom continues. Housebuilder Taylor Woodrow confirmed today that 52% of its budgeted sales in the UK have been completed or reserved after three-and-a-half months' trading this year, compared with 39% a year ago.

Chief executive Iain Napier said at today's annual general meeting that market conditions were strong and the group is on track for 10,000 home sales this year with 3,900 completions in the first half.
