HEALTHIER alternatives to the Big Mac seem to be paying off for McDonald's which said US sales rose 4.2% in July, its third monthly increase on the back of new products such as entree-sized salads. Global sales rose 11% to $4.14bn (£2.6bn), but in Europe they fell 0.6%.
