Ryanair told to drop 'misleading' ads
13 April 2012
Ryanair has been told by the German courts it can no longer advertise its services to a small Rhineland airport as Dusseldorf-Niederrhein because it is 40 miles from Dusseldorf.
It is the latest action against Ryanair advertising services to European cities which actually fly into small regional airports. The courts ruled it is misleading.
A spokesman for Ryanair, which is appealing against the ruling, said: "We have flown 50,000 people there so it can't be too difficult to find."
