Robust growth expected for US

THE Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development will today forecast robust growth in the United States next year when it unveils its widely-watched economic outlook. The club of rich nations is expected to suggest that the US economy will expand by 4.2%. But the European Union is expected to limp along with growth of just 1.9%. Reports this week said the OECD would raise its forecast for Britain's growth to 2.7% from 2.6%.
