Felix Allen12 April 2012

A MAN needed 30 stitches after a pitbull terrier clamped its jaws on his groin, a court heard.

Stephen Dorman told how he desperately tried to free himself by pouring a can of Red Bull on the dog's head after the "aggressive" animal lunged at his crotch and held on for nearly a minute.Xiomara McNaughton-Silver, 19, who described five-stone dog Santos as "playful", told jurors she was looking after the animal for a friend at the time of the attack in Brixton. She denies being in charge of a prohibited dog in September last year. The trial continues at Woolwich crown court.
