Real hit Beijing high on Beckmania

13 April 2012

The mania surrounding David Beckham showed no signs of abating when hundreds of fans greeted the midfielder and his Real Madrid teammates as they arrived in Beijing.

The team is preparing for a match at the Workers' Stadium tomorrow against an all-star Chinese team, when Beckham is expected to make his Real Madrid debut.

The Beijing Hotel plans to auction pillows, pyjamas and other items used by the team to raise money for children of hospital workers who died during the Sars outbreak.
