Dear Prime Minister...

Britain's museums, visual arts, music, theatre and films are a constant inspiration to creators such as ourselves. Yet the Government's steady investment in the arts, which has borne such fruit over the past 10 years, now appears to be under threat.

This vital investment, upon which our future depends, represents a tiny proportion of the Government's overall expenditure. It would be a tragedy if the lifeblood of the arts and the creative industries were to be cut off just at the moment of such success.
