£60m Easter eggs for auction

THE world's largest private collection of Faberge Imperial Easter eggs is to be auctioned in New York in April.

The nine eggs, made of gold and decorated with jewels, and 180 other Faberge items are expected to fetch £60m.

They belonged to the late US publishing tycoon Malcolm Forbes and were originally made for the Russian tsars between 1885 and early last century.
